About Amethyst
The name comes from the Greek amethystos, “not intoxicated.” In the ancient world the stone was worn as a charm for a clear head, and it has been cut as a gem since Egyptian times. The purple color comes from iron in the quartz and natural irradiation. In later tradition amethyst is linked with calm, clarity, and meditation. Stone baoding balls are heavier and more fragile than metal sets, so they should be rotated with care. Color and pattern vary from pair to pair; that is normal for natural amethyst.

I bought 2 pairs of Baoding balls. The amethyst ones are lighter and perfect for learning the “reverse” direction of turning. The hematite Baoding balls are quite a bit heavier requiring more concentration. I have been switching back and forth which is perfect for me. Why didn’t I have these before? Maybe the stars are aligned correctly for me to have them now.

2" Baoding Balls
I purchased these 2" Amethyst balls to help with dexterity in my hand and fingers. I bought B grade and beside a little blemish they are great condition. Unfortunately 2" is huge compared to the balls I measured to see if I wanted large instead of mediums. I use them but they are big in my hands. I will try to use them on the bottom of my feet as I read I a blog on the web site. Yes after awhile of rotating them in my hands they are heavy. Not disappointed in my purchase. Great price compared to others in my research. I also turned around and purchased 2 sets of medium Baoding balls.

I have purchased Baoding Balls from this venue multiple times and very satisfied with the services provided.
This time I got a C-grade product, which is acceptable. But I would recommend getting at least B-grade items.
I particular enjoyed the colors of Amethyst balls.
